Málaga Club de Fútbol (commonly known as Málaga CF) is a Spanish football club based in the city of Málaga, Andalusia. Founded in 1904, they currently compete in the Segunda División, the second tier of the Spanish football system.

In 2002, they won the UEFA Intertoto Cup and qualified for the following season’s UEFA Cup, where they reached the quarter-finals. Their most successful period was between 1999 and 2012 where they reached the UEFA Champions League group stages twice and La Liga twice.

Despite their recent relegation from the top division, Málaga CF are one of the most successful and well-known teams in Spanish football, and remain an influential force in the region.

Francisco Román Alarcón Suárez is a Spanish attacking midfielder who plays for Real Madrid. Isco was born in Benalmádena, Spain on 21 April 1992 and started his career with PDM Benamiel before joining Valencia in 2006.

He made 69 appearances for Málaga before signing for Real Madrid in 2013 where he has since become an important part of the team's success, mainly as a creative force behind their attack. 

At the international level, Isco has represented Spain at under-19 and under-21 levels before making his senior debut against Macedonia in October 2009.

In June 2018, he helped Real Madrid win their eleventh UEFA Champions League title following a 4–1 victory over Atlético Madrid in the final game of the season Isco started his career at hometown club Malaga before moving to Real Madrid in 2008. 

He made his international debut for Spain in 2009 and has since been a regular starter for the national team.

Diego Lugano is an Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Italian club S.S.C. Napoli and the Uruguay national team. Signed by São Paulo in 2003, he made 125 appearances for the Brazilian side before joining Fenerbahçe in 2006.

He helped his country to qualification for the 2014 World Cup and was named in their final 23-man squad ahead of the tournament, which they hosted; he played all but one minute of Uruguay's matches en route to being crowned champions. 

In May 2015, it was announced that Lugano would join Serie A outfit Juventus on a six-year contract. Having won two Turkish Super Lig titles with Galatasaray and three Europa League trophies with Sevilla, Lugano has also represented Switzerland internationally since 2007.

Carlos Kameni is a Cameroonian goalkeeper who has played for Santa Coloma in the Spanish second division. He made his debut for Le Havre aged just 18 and spent two seasons with the club before moving on to Saint-Étienne, where he stayed for three years on loan.

In 2007, Kameni joined Racing Santander but was released at the end of the season after making only one appearance for them. He then signed for CD Numancia but left midway through the 2009–10 season after struggling to make an impact in La Liga. 

After briefly returning to Spain with Ponferradina, Kameni rejoined Racing Santander ahead of their relegation campaign in 2013 and helped them stay up as champions that year; he subsequently retired from professional football at age 34 due to injury. 

Carlos is now a goalkeeping coach with Santa Coloma's Under 17 team. Carlos has been married since 2006 and they have two daughters together.

Idriss Carlos Kameni (born 18 February 1984) is a Cameroonian footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Spanish side Santa Coloma CF.

A product of Kadji Sports. he made his professional debut playing alongside future Barcelona teammate Edgar Davids during 2000–01 season appearing twice without scoring any goals against Lille OSC[9], FC Girondins de Bordeaux Málaga CF Valencia CF Celta Vigo.

On 15 January 2003, newly promoted Saint Étienne signed him on loan until June 2004. "The keeper joins St Etienne from French side Le Havre."

Nordin Amrabat is a winger for AEK Athens and played at the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Nordin Amrabat was born in 1987 in Netherlands and started his career with Huizen before joining Ajax in 2003.

He has made over 100 appearances for Ajax, scoring 25 goals, including 11 in the Europa League, winning two titles with the club and reaching three Dutch cup finals. In July 2017, he joined AEK on a four-year contract after spending one season on loan at Granada CF.

Amrabat represented Morocco at youth level but switched allegiance to Holland during his senior career.[4] Nordin Amrabat began his professional career with Dutch side Omniworld.

He then moved to VVV-Venlo, where he scored 33 goals in 10 appearances during the 2007–2008 season. PSV snapped him up for £5 million and he went on to score 57 goals in 9 seasons with them, making him one of their most prolific strikers ever. 

In 2011, Nordin signed for Turkish side Kayseri SK and helped them win the Süper Lig title that year before being transferred to Galatasaray two years later. 

His time at Galatasaray was short-lived however as he was loaned out to Málaga midway through the 2014–2015 season and became a key part of their team until his return at the end of 2015–2016 campaign; during this time he also won 15 caps for Morocco internationally (7 of which were starts).

After spending just over a year back at Málaga, Nordin signed for newly promoted Watford on a four-year deal in May 2018 - becoming their first foreign signing since they joined the Premier League six years earlier. 

At international level, Nordin has made 64 appearances (27 started) scoring 31 times while representing Morocco since 2007.

Arnau was born in Les Planes, Spain in 1975. He started his footballing career at hometown club Unió de Les Planes. Arnau joined Valencia CF in 1995 and made his La Liga debut in 1998.

Julio Dely Valdés is a Panamanian professional footballer who plays as a striker. Dely Valdés started his career with Atlético Colón, before joining Deportivo Paraguayo in 1987.

Pedro Contreras is a Spanish goalkeeper who has played for Real Madrid and other clubs. He started his career at Real Madrid, making his senior debut in the 1995/96 season.

Rondón has played for various clubs in his homeland, most notably Aragua and Las Palmas. He made his international debut for Venezuela in 2008 and has gone on to make 92 appearances for his country. Rondón signed for English club Newcastle United in the summer of 2019.

Rubén Párraga was born on September 2, 1984 in Málaga, Southern Spain. The 38-year-old left back started his career at hometown club Alhaurino before moving to La Liga side Málaga in 2006.

Párraga appeared in a total of 171 matches for Málaga, scoring five goals. In the summer of 2013, Párraga joined Qatari side Al Sadd SC. He made his debut for the club in a league match against Al-Arabi SC on September 11, 2013.

Párraga left Al Sadd SC in the summer of 2017 and returned to his homeland to play for Cádiz CF.
