The Long Island Nets are an up-and-coming professional basketball team in the NBA G League. Based in Uniondale, New York, the team is affiliated with the Brooklyn Nets and plays its home games at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Nassau County, New York.

Founded in 2016, the Long Island Nets are quickly becoming one of the most exciting teams in the G League, as they strive to develop young talent and provide an entertaining and competitive atmosphere for their fans. David Duke Jr. is a young point guard / shooting guard who was drafted by the Brooklyn Nets in 2022. Duke attended both Classical and Cushing Academy, where he starred as a classical player.

After graduating from high school, David Duke Jr began his professional career with the Brooklyn Nets in 2022. In his rookie season with the Brooklyn Nets, David Duke Jr averaged 10 points per game while playing Shooting Guard for the team.

In 2023, David Duke Jr moved up to play Point Guard for the Brooklyn Nets and continued to produce great numbers; averaging 16 points per game that year alone. 

In 2024, after two successful seasons with the Brooklyn Nets, David Duke signed a multi-year contract extension with the team which will keep him inBrooklyn until at least 2030.

David Duke is a white nationalist and former Ku Klux Klan leader. He was a member of the Louisiana State Legislature from 1991 to 1999, when he resigned after being elected as an official in the neo-Nazi National Alliance party. 

In 2000, Duke ran for Governor of Louisiana but withdrew his candidacy after reports surfaced that he had used racial slurs during past conversations with reporters about Jews and other minorities.

In 2002, Duke unsuccessfully sought the Republican nomination for Lieutenant Governor of Louisiana on a platform that included anti-immigrant rhetoric and support for school vouchers aimed at promoting segregationist education policies; his campaign made use of racist images and symbols including the Confederate flag.

 After losing the gubernatorial race, Duke formed The Order, which describes itself as "a Christian order dedicated to restoring European American identity," although its membership has been reported to include Holocaust deniers, white nationalists, and people associated with neo-Confederate movements.

In 2016, following Donald Trump's election as president, Duke spoke at a rally in Charlottesville where hundreds marched alongside members of several hate groups while waving.

Rodions Kurucs is a small forward who played for Barcelona and Brooklyn in the NBA. He was drafted by the Nets in 2018 and has since had a successful career, averaging 13 points per game this season.

Kurucs was born in 1998 in Cēsis, Latvia and began playing basketball at an early age. He signed with VEF Rīga as a teenager before joining FC Barcelona two years later. Kurux has been instrumental for both clubs throughout his time there, winning titles with both teams along the way.

Jordan Bowden is an American shooting guard who was drafted by the Brooklyn Nets in the second round of the 2016 NBA Draft. He played college basketball for UNC-Asheville and averaged 17 points, four rebounds, three assists and one steal per game as a junior in 2018–19.

Bowden has bounced around between G League teams since being drafted but has found stability with Long Island this season where he is averaging 20 points, five rebounds and two assists per game. 

The 25-year-old has a bright future ahead of him if he can continue to develop his scoring ability while also improving his defense – which could see him earn minutes on an NBA roster down the line.

Lance Harris played shooting guard for the Kansas State Wildcats from 2003-2007. He went undrafted in the 2007 NBA Draft but signed with Zlatorog of the Greek Basket League.

Lance then played two seasons with Kolossos Rodou before signing with Long Island Nets of the G League in 2019. As an assistant coach, Lance works primarily with Long Island's guards and helps them develop their game both on and off court.

In his playing career, Lance had success at both small forward and shooting guard positions which gives him a good understanding of player development concepts across all positions on the floor. Harris has been a head coach in the Slovenian League and ABA League.

Harris was most recently an assistant coach with the Long Island Nets. Harris is also a French league champion as well as having won the Slovenian Cup. Harris played collegiately at St John’s University, where he averaged 10 points per game over two seasons before embarking on his coaching career in Slovenia and France.

Craig Randall II is a professional basketball player who was drafted by the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the 2016 NBA draft. Craig Randall II played college ball at Shadow Mountain University, where he averaged 12 points and six rebounds per game as a sophomore.

In his rookie season with the Phoenix Suns, Randall II appeared in 63 games and averaged 5.5 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assists per game. This year, Randall III has started all 28 games for the Suns thus far (including playoffs) averaging 10 points and 4 assists per contest while shooting 44% from 3-point range.

Additionally earning first-team All-America honors from numerous publications including CBSsportsballot, Athlon Sports, The Athletic, NBCSports Bay Area and Bleacher Report.

He also became only the third player in NCAA history to record over 1000 points (1111) & 500 assists (540) during their career; joining Karl Malone & Donyell Marshall as only other players ever to do so. 

Randall signed with Memphis after going undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft but has yet to make an appearance for them due to injury currently rehabbing from surgery on his left foot which he suffered just prior to training camp last season.

At 6'5" and 202 lbs., he is a big player who has developed his game significantly over the past two seasons with Brescia under coach Fabrizio Gastaldi. 

With excellent ball handling skills and strong outside shooting, Massinburg is seen as one of the most promising young guards in Europe and could soon be making a name for himself at international level too.

Massinburg has been very productive offensively, averaging 16 points per game over his three-year career, and he has also shown potential as a defender with averages of 4 blocks and 2 steals per game. 

The Michigan native will continue to play in Europe after 2021–22 when his contract with Brescia expires, hopefully leading to him being drafted by another team sooner rather than later.

Kaiser Gates was born on November 8, 1996 in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended St. Francis High School where he played basketball. Gates was drafted by the Brooklyn Nets in the second round of the 2016 NBA Draft.

He signed a two-year contract with the Long Island Nets in July 2017. Gates made his debut for the Nets in a 107-99 victory over the Delaware 87ers on October 20, 2017. He is a small forward and has played for Brooklyn Nets, Delaware 87ers, and the Grand Rapids Drive of the G League.

Burrell is from Livingston, New Jersey. Burrell attended UNC Greensboro and was drafted in the fifth round of the 2005 NBA draft. Burrell played in the NBA for ten seasons. Burrell has coached in the NBA for two seasons.
