High school career

Laquon Treadwell was a talented multi-sport athlete during his time at Crete-Monee High School in Chicago. With 3,563 receiving yards, he was the second-leading receiver in Illinois prep history after his three-year football career.

He started as a wide receiver but also played quarterback as a freshman and defense from sophomore to senior years. In his sophomore year, he caught 58 passes for 811 yards and seven touchdowns.

By junior year, Treadwell became popular earning various awards such as NWI Times Offensive Player of the Year, and first-team all-state pick among others when he recorded an impressive75 catches for 1,391 yards and 18 touchdowns on offense along with playing defense purposes like recording 45 tackles (10 for loss) and eight sacks.

However, it’s fair to say senior year shines brighter because Treadwell went on to achieve great feats which earned him an All-American selection by Under Armour, USA Today, MaxPreps, and SuperPrep after leading Crete-Monee Warriors alongside fellow teammate.
