Ferenc Puskás, who was born in Budapest in 1927, is considered one of the greatest footballers of all time. He played for Honvéd and Real Madrid before making his international debut for Hungary in 1945.

After retiring from playing he went on to manage Panathinaikos and won two Greek league titles and three Greek Cups during his six-year tenure there. 

Ferenc Puskás died at the age of 79 after a long illness, leaving behind a legacy as one of the greatest footballers ever.

Ferenc Puskás was a Hungarian footballer who is considered one of the greatest players in history. 

He played for some of the most successful clubs in Europe and helped them win numerous championships. Puskás also holds the record for most goals scored in a single season, with 38 during the 1956-57 campaign.

Ferenc Puskás died at the age of 74 after a long battle with cancer.

Dániel Gazdag was born on 2 March 1996 in Nyíregyháza, Hungary to parents Zoltán and Judit Gazdag. At the age of just 16, Dániel made his senior debut for Nyíregyháza in a 2010–11 Hungarian Cup match against Kecskeméti TE.

In October 2014, it was announced that Dániel had signed with Hungarian side Debrecen FC on a one-year deal following successful trials with the club. 

On 13 February 2015, it was announced that Philadelphia Union had acquired Gazdag's services from Debrecen FC in exchange for $175,000.

Dániel has represented Hungary at various youth levels including at under-17 level where he helped his country win the 2013 UEFA European Under-17 Championship bronze medal[4].

In September 2018, he scored both goals as Hungary defeated Luxembourg 2–0 to earn their first ever victory over an EU nation at a major tournament.

Having made 28 appearances and scoring six times during his two seasons with Philadelphia Union (2018–19 & 2019), Gazdag is currently listed as team captain by manager Jim Curtin ahead of the 2020 season.

Király was born in 1976 and began his career with Haladás. He joined Hertha BSC in 1997 and made 198 appearances for the club before retiring at the end of the 2004 season.

Király won two Hungarian titles during his time with Haladás as well as a German cup medals, which earned him international recognition. After retiring from playing, Király took up coaching duties with 1860 Munich II but left after just one year to take up a position at Eintracht Frankfurt's youth academy.

In December 2018 he was named manager of Hungary's national team following Viktor Orbán’s resignation after 16 years in power.

Király started his career at Hungarian side Crystal Palace in 2004. He made 104 appearances for the club before joining West Ham United on loan in 2006. Király then spent two seasons with Aston Villa on a loan before moving to Burnley in 2009.

In 2014, he joined Bundesliga side 1860 Munich on a season-long loan deal, making 168 appearances and scoring 27 goals during his time there.

After leaving Fulham at the end of the 2015-16 campaign, Kiraly rejoined Haladás as their new head coach for the 2017-18 season where he helped them win promotion back to Hungary's top flight after being relegated from Liga 1 only two years earlier.

Kiraly has since gone onto make 107 league appearances and score four goals for Haladás over three seasons since rejoining them permanently in 2019.

Dárdai retired in 2017 as a player, but continued coaching the Hertha BSC first team. Dárdai started his career at Pécs and played for them from 1994 to 2002.

In 2003, he moved to Germany and signed with Hamburger SV where he stayed until 2007 when he joined Eintracht Frankfurt. He rejoined Hamburger SV in 2010 and then left for Schalke 04 in 2012 before returning to Hamburg two years later and retiring at the end of the 2016 season. 

After almost 20 years playing Professionnal Football Dárdai has also coached ASEC Mimosas, FC Augsburg II, SC Paderborn 07, 1 FSV Mainz 05 U19s and Fortuna Sittard U23s during his playing career Pál Dárdai was a highly decorated player in his home country of Hungary, and he later enjoyed success with Hertha BSC.

Pál Därdei started playing football at the age of eight for MTK Hungaria FC, before moving on to play for Pécs Vasas SC and then Budapest Honvéd FC. 

He made his international debut in 1996 and went on to score five goals during Hungary's successful qualification campaign for Euro 2000. 

After spending four years with Hertha BSC, including helping them win the Bundesliga title in 2006/07, Dardai moved onto manage Újpest FC from 2019-2021 season onwards.

Péter Gulácsi is a Hungarian goalkeeper who currently plays for RB Leipzig. Gulácsi made his Liverpool debut in 2008 and went on to make 18 appearances for the club during his loan spell at Hereford United.

In 2013, Gulácsi transferred to RB Leipzig where he has since played over 100 games for them, establishing himself as their number one goalkeeper. Péter Gulácsi started his professional career at Tranmere Rovers before joining Hull City on loan.

He spent two seasons with RB Leipzig and was a key player for the side who won the German Bundesliga in 2016/17. Péter Gulácsi has represented Hungary at youth level, including playing at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2009.

Szalai is a Hungarian centre-back who currently plays for Turkish side Fenerbahçe. Szalai made his senior debut with Vasas in 2010, before joining Rapid Wien in 2012.

Szalai represented Hungary at youth level, winning back-to-back U20 European Championships in 2014 and 2015. 

In May 2017, Szalai was called up to the Hungary squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Croatia and Romania. Signed for Fenerbahçe from Rapid Wien on 6 July 2018. Attila Szalai is a Hungarian international footballer who plays as a midfielder for Fenerbahçe.

Dzsudzsák was born in 1986 in Debrecen, Hungary. He started his career with Debrecen before moving to Dynamo Moscow in 2012. Dzsudzsák has 48 appearances for Debreceni VSC and 24 goals during his senior career so far.

Dominik Szoboszlai is a Hungarian attacking midfielder who currently plays for RB Leipzig. He started his career at Videoton before moving to Főnix-GOLD in 2015.

József Bozsik was a central midfielder who played for Budapest Hónved from 1943 to 1962. He was part of the Hungarian national team that won the gold medal at the 1948 Olympic Games in London.

He also played at the 1954 and 1958 World Cups. He died in 1978 at the age of 52. Bozsik was inducted into the Hungarian Football Hall of Fame in 2001. He was a hard-working midfielder who was known for his strong defensive play.

He was also a fast player who was able to get past his opponents easily. He was a major contributor to the success of Budapest Hónved during his time with the club. 

His death was a major loss to Hungarian football. József Bozsik was born in 1947 in Hungary and played as a midfielder for 101 matches for the Hungarian national team between 1947 and 1962.

Following his retirement from playing, Bozsik became a manager and led Budapest Honved to the 1974 Hungarian league title. 

Bozsik represented Hungary at the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952 and at the FIFA World Cup in Switzerland in 1954, where they finished runner-up. József Bozsik passed away in 2006 at the age of 70.

Gera was born in Hungary in 1979 and started his career at Pécsi Bőrgyár. He moved to Hungary U21 in 2016 and has started every game. Gera is an attacking midfielder and is known for his speed and passing ability.

Gera has represented Hungary at Euro 2016 where they reached the semi-finals. Gera is currently playing for Pécsi Zsolnay in Hungary's top division. He is a Hungarian international midfielder who has played for Fulham, West Bromwich Albion, and Ferencváros.

Roland Sallai is a Hungarian winger who currently plays for SC Freiburg. Sallai made his professional debut in the Hungarian top-flight with Debreceni Olasz Focisuli in the 2003–04 season.

Willi Orbán is a German-born central defender who currently plays for RB Leipzig. Orbán has spent his entire senior career with RB Leipzig, making over 150 appearances for the club.

Sándor Kocsis was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1929. Kocsis played for Kőbányai TC and Ferencváros before joining Honvéd in 1950. Kocsis spent four seasons with Honvéd before joining ÉDOSZ in 1956.

Kocsis spent two seasons with ÉDOSZ before joining Young Fellows Zürich in 1957. Kocsis retired from football in 1958, but returned to play for Ferencváros in 1960. Kocsis died in Barcelona, Spain in 1979 at the age of 49.

Kocsis was a prolific goalscorer, with 160 goals in 177 appearances. Kocsis is considered one of the greatest Hungarian footballers of all time. Kocsis is honoured with a statue outside the Budapest Honvéd Stadium. Sándor Kocsis was a very successful player and manager.

He played for Barcelona from 1958 to 1965 and was part of the team that won the famous La Liga title in 1962. 

Kocsis then had a successful international career, representing Hungary at the Olympic Games in 1952 and playing in the FIFA World Cup in 1954 and 1958. He later managed Hércules and Alicante, before retiring from football in 1971.

Kocsis is now a football commentator and ambassador for the sport in Hungary. He has been awarded the Order of Merit of Hungary and the Gold Medal of the Hungarian Football Federation. 

Sándor Kocsis is a very popular figure in Hungary and he has been inducted into the Hungarian Football Hall of Fame. He has also been awarded the prestigious FIFA World Cup Master Class Award.

Kocsis is a footballing legend and his accomplishments in the sport are still remembered today.

Nagy is a 27-year-old Hungarian defensive midfielder who currently plays for Serie A side Pisa. Nagy started his career at youth level with Goldball '94 before moving to Vasas in 2005.

He played for Aramis SE from 2008 to 2009, before joining Kelen SC. Nagy was called up to the Hungary national team for their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign and made his debut against Liechtenstein on 11 October 2015.

Gyula Grosics was an illustrious goalkeeper who played for some of Hungary's top clubs in the 1950s and 1960s. Grosics made his debut for Dorogi Bányász in 1945 and was a member of the side that won the Hungarian League in 1947.

He moved to Budapest Honvéd FC in 1949 and played for the club until 1962. Grosics then spent eight years with Ferencvárosi TC, where he won two Hungarian Cups in 1988 and 1991. Gyula Grosics passed away in 2014 at the age of 88.

Gyula Grosics started his career in 1947 with Hungarian side Tatabánya Bányász SC. He played for Salgótarjáni BTC from 1964 to 1965 before moving to Kuwait to play for KSI. Grosics made his international debut for Hungary in 1952 at the Olympic Games in Helsinki.

He represented Hungary at the FIFA World Cup in 1954 and 1958, but never managed to win the competition. Grosics returned to Hungary in 1966 and retired from playing the following year.

Nándor Hidegkuti was one of the greatest Hungarian footballers of all time, and is considered one of the country's greatest ever players. Hidegkuti spent his entire playing career with MTK Hungária, winning a total of 314 caps for the club.

Albert was a forward who played for Ferencváros between 1958 and 1974. He was a key player for the club during its golden years and helped it win two Hungarian Championships and two Hungarian Cups.

Albert also represented Hungary at international level and made 34 appearances, scoring 10 goals. He died aged 70 in October 2011 after a long battle with cancer. His funeral took place in Budapest and he was buried in Hercegszántó.

He played for Al Ahly Benghazi in the Egyptian Premier League from 1978-1982. He then managed Al Ahly Benghazi from 1985-1988. He then had a short stint with Belgian side Club Brugge from 1988-1989. He then moved back to Egypt and coached Zamalek from 1990-1994.

He then coached Turkish side Galatasaray from 1994-1998. He then coached Portuguese side Benfica from 1998-2002. He then retired from coaching and became a football ambassador in Hungary. 

He is currently the sporting director for Hungarian side Debrecen. He is also a member of the Hungarian Football Federation's technical committee.

Ferenc Bene was born on December 17, 1944 in Balatonújlak, Hungary. Bene played for Újpesti Dózsa from 1961 to 1978 and scored 303 goals in 417 appearances.

Imre Schlosser was a Hungarian forward who played for Ferencvárosi TC and MTK Hungária FC during the first half of the 20th century. He was born on October 11, 1889 in Budapest, Hungary.

Schlosser made his debut for Ferencvárosi TC in 1905 and went on to play for the club until 1916. He then joined MTK Hungária FC and played for the team until 1922. He was capped once by Hungary during the 1912 Olympic Games.

Schlosser died on July 18, 1959 in Budapest, Hungary. He was 69 years old at the time of his death. Imre Schlosser was a member of the Hungarian national team and played at the 1912 Olympic Games. He was born in Hungary in 1906.

He played for various clubs in his homeland before moving to Sweden in 1922. Schlosser quickly became a regular for IFK Norrköping, helping them to the top flight in 1924. He later played for Wisła Kraków, Wiener AC and Brigittenauer AC before retiring in 1926.

Gyula Zsengellér was born in 1915 in Cegléd, Hungary and died in 1999 in Cyprus. He played for several teams in Hungary and Italy before moving to Spain and then Italy again.

He is most famous for his time with Roma, where he won the Serie A championship in 1949. He is also a two-time Hungarian Footballer of the Year. He was inducted into the Italian Football Hall of Fame in 1978.

In 1994, he was named as the honorary president of Hungarian football. He was also a member of the Hungarian Olympic team in 1960. He was a proponent of physical fitness and training, and is credited with helping to revive Hungarian football in the 1940s.

He was a hard worker and was known for his tenacity on the pitch. Gyula Zsengellér started his career at Hungarian side, 39 (33) before moving to Italy to play for Deportivo Samarios. After a couple of seasons in Italy, he moved to Cyprus to manage Nea Salamis FC.

He then spent a few years managing in Greece before moving back to Cyprus to take charge of APOEL FC. He retired from management in 1994, but continued to work as a scout for various clubs. Zsengellér died in 2017 at the age of 91.

Lang is a Hungarian footballer who currently plays for Omonia. Lang made his senior debut in 2010 with Veszprém, before spending two seasons with Belgian side Gent.

Lajos Détári is a Hungarian football midfielder who has played for several clubs over the course of his career. Détári started his career with Budapest Honvéd FC, before moving to Eintracht Frankfurt and then Olympiacos.

He spent two seasons with Bologna before signing for Ferencváros. Détári retired from professional football in 2003. 

He has since worked as a football coach. Détári was born in Budapest in 1963. He began playing football at the age of six, and made his professional debut in 1980 with Budapest Honvéd FC.

He went on to play for Eintracht Frankfurt, Olympiacos, Bologna, and Ferencváros, before retiring in 2003. Détári is currently a football coach and scout. 

Détári was born on April 13, 1960 in Szombathely, Hungary. He played football as a midfielder for several clubs in Hungary before moving to Italy in 1984.

Mihály Lantos was born in Budapest in 1928 and started playing football with his local team Buda VSC in 1941. He made his debut for Budapesti MÁVAG SK in 1943 and played for them until 1947.

In 1948, he joined MTK Hungária FC and played for them for 290 games, scoring 38 goals. He played his final game for MTK in 1961 and retired from football later that year. Mihály Lantos died in 1989, aged 61.

He is most famous for his time playing for MTK Hungária FC and is recognised as one of the greatest defenders in Hungarian football history. Mihály Lantos was a member of the Hungarian national team and played 38 games, scoring 10 goals.

He is also a member of the Hungarian Football Federation Hall of Fame. Mihály Lantos was a Hungarian football manager and player who played for Olympiacos and Komlói Bányász in the 1950s and 1960s. 

In 1965, he became assistant manager of Olympiacos, a position he held until 1967.

In 1975, he became manager of Nagykanizsai Olajbányász. In 1977, he became manager of Videoton FC. 

He led Videoton to the Hungarian League championship in 1980 and to the Hungarian Cup in 1981. He later served as the general manager of Zalaegerszegi TE. He retired from football in 1986.

Lantos died in 2006. He was inducted into the Hungarian Football Hall of Fame in 2009.
