Joshua Kimmich is a German professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Bayern Munich. He began his career at VfB Bösingen before joining Stuttgart in 2013.

In 2016, he joined RB Leipzig and spent two seasons there before signing with Bayern Munich in 2019. Kimmich has made over 100 appearances for Germany and was part of their squad that won the 2014 World Cup and the 2017 Confederations Cup.

Known for his athleticism, quickness on the ball, passing range, and tackling ability,[7] he is considered one of the best defenders in Europe.

Antonio Rüdiger is a German professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Real Madrid. He started his career at VfB Sperber Neukölln, before moving to SV Tasmania Berlin in 2005.

In 2008, he joined Borussia Dortmund and made over 100 appearances for the club before joining Real Madrid in 2013.

Gündoğan is a German international footballer who currently plays for Manchester City. He started his career at SV Gelsenkirchen-Hessler 06 before moving to Schalke 04 in 1999.

Franz Beckenbauer is one of the most iconic and successful football players in history. He played for Bayern Munich from 1964 to 1977 and won five Bundesliga titles, two German Cups, two European Cup Winners' Cups, a Intercontinental Cup and the FIFA World Cup with Germany in 1974.

After his playing career ended he became manager of several clubs including Bayer Leverkusen, Real Madrid and Manchester United before returning to management as head coach of Bayern Munich between 2001-03. 

In 2005 he was made an honorary citizen of Munich after being named "Bester Spieler Deutschlands" (German footballer of the year) four times consecutively – a record which still stands today.

Franz Beckenbauer has also been involved in various other business ventures including ownership or leadership roles at companies such as Adidas AG, TV channel Sport1 and Porsche AG among others. 

He currently serves on the board of directors for FC Barcelona and is president emeritus of global sports organisation FIFPro International since 2011 having served previously from 1990 until 2003. 

On 15 January 2019 it was announced that Franz Beckenbauer had been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), but would continue to work while receiving treatment Franz.

Beckenbauer was a successful footballer and manager who represented West Germany at both the international level as a player and later in managerial roles.

Franz Beckenbauer is most famous for his time spent managing Bayern Munich, where he led them to numerous Bundesliga titles and appearances in the UEFA Champions League. 

He has also had other coaching roles, including with Marseille and Bayern Munich, but his most recent role was as Sport Director of the Brazilian national team from 2016-2018.

Mesut Özil is a German footballer who plays for the Turkish club Istanbul Başakşehir as an attacking midfielder. He has previously played for Schalke 04, Rot-Weiss Essen and Schalke 04 again.

October 15, 1988, in Gelsenkirchen, West Germany to father Mustafa and mother Emine. At the age of five, he began playing football with local team Westfalia 04 Gelsenkirchen before moving on to play for Teutonia Schalke-Nord from 1998–1999 onwards.

It wasn’t long after that performance that Özil captured international attention when he started scoring goals regularly even starting up front instead of being used more defensively due to his impressive display.

His most successful year thus far came in 2018 when he won both the FIFA World Cup Best Player Award[4] and UEFA Europa League Golden Boot award,[5] becoming only the second player (after Lionel Messi) ever to win both awards.

Aside from winning accolades domestically, Özil also became known for performing impressively despite often facing criticism from sections of English media due to a perceived lack of effort.

Jürgen Klinsmann is a former German international footballer who played as a striker. He started his career with TB Gingen, before playing for SC Geislingen, Stuttgarter Kickers and VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga.

Kehrer is a defender who currently plays for West Ham United. Kehrer started his career with TSG Tübingen, before moving to SSV Reutlingen and then VfB Stuttgart.

Matthias Sammer is one of the most successful German footballers of all time. He played for Dynamo Dresden, VfB Stuttgart and Borussia Dortmund in his career and was capped 82 times by Germany.

Matthias Sammer started his professional career at Dynamo Dresden before moving to VfB Stuttgart two years later. He made a total of 63 appearances for them over two seasons before joining Inter Milan.

After just 11 appearances with Inter Milan, he moved to Borussia Dortmund where he would spend the next 12 seasons overall making 115 apps (21 goals).

Mario Götze is a German attacking midfielder who currently plays for Eintracht Frankfurt. Götze started his career with SC Ronsberg before moving to FC Eintracht Hombruch in 2001.

Emre Can is a 28-year-old midfielder who currently plays for Borussia Dortmund. Can started his career with SV Blau-Gelb Frankfurt, before moving to Eintracht Frankfurt in 2009 and Bayern Munich the following year.

Julian Brandt is a German professional footballer who plays as a left winger for Borussia Dortmund. He began his career with SC Borgfeld before moving to FC Oberneuland and then VfL Wolfsburg, where he made over 165 appearances in total.

In 2014, Brandt joined Bayer Leverkusen II on loan and helped the side achieve promotion to the Bundesliga that season.

Nico Schlotterbeck is a German centre-back who currently plays for Borussia Dortmund. He made his debut in the Bundesliga during the 2018–19 season. 

Nico Schlotterbeck was born on 1 December 1999 in Waiblingen, Germany and started playing football at an early age with local team VfR Aalen.

Klose is one of the most prolific strikers in Bundesliga history, having scored over 100 goals in his career. Klose started his professional career at SG Blaubach-Diedelkopf before joining.

Jupp Heynckes is a German former footballer who played as a forward for Borussia Mönchengladbach and Hannover 96. He later served as manager of Bayern Munich, and led the club to three consecutive Bundesliga titles.

Heynckes was born in Mönchengladbach in 1945 and started playing football with local side Grün-Weiß Holt. After making his debut for Borussia Mönchengladbach in 1963, he went on to win two Bundesliga titles and a DFB-Pokal with the club.

Heynckes made his international debut for West Germany in 1966 and went on to earn over 50 caps, scoring one goal. He retired from international football in 1990. 

Heynckes took over as manager of Hannover 96 in 1970 and led the club to the Bundesliga title in his first season.

He then moved to Bayern Munich in 1978 and led the club to three consecutive Bundesliga titles. Heynckes was appointed manager of Bayern Munich in 1987 and led the club to their first Champions League title in 1996. 

He retired from management in 2006. Heynckes was named the FIFA World Coach of the Year in 1998 and the German Footballer of the Year in 1998 and 2007.

He was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2011, but recovered and was later appointed president of the German Football Association (DFB). 

Heynckes was given a standing ovation by Bayern Munich fans after his retirement as manager in 2006. Heynckes was inducted into the German Football Hall of Fame in 2007. He died on 9 May 2018, aged 77.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is a retired German professional footballer who played as a forward. Rummenigge began his career at SV Lippstadt 08, before joining Bayern Munich in 1974.

He spent nine seasons with the club, winning two Bundesliga titles and the German Cup. Rummenigge then spent two seasons with Inter Milan, before returning to Bayern Munich in 1987.

He spent two more seasons with the club, before retiring in 1989. Rummenigge later became the president of Bayern Munich. He has also been a manager, taking charge of Bayern Munich II in 2010 and Bayer Leverkusen in 2012.

Rummenigge was born in Lippstadt, West Germany, in 1955. He died on 5 February 2017, aged 67. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was born on July 25th, 1954 in the town of Frankfurt am Main, West Germany. 

He started his professional career at Eintracht Frankfurt in 1975 and made his debut for the national team the following year.

He went on to play 95 international matches for West Germany, scoring 45 goals. 

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was a mainstay of the West German national team during the late 1970s and early 1980s, helping the team to win the FIFA World Cup in 1982 and the UEFA European Championship in 1980. 

After retiring from international football, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge went on to have a successful career in club football, playing for Bayern Munich, Juventus, and Rummenigge's former club Eintracht Frankfurt.
