Robert Lewandowski is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a striker for Spanish club Barcelona. He began his career with Delta Warsaw, before joining Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in 2005.

Franz Beckenbauer is one of the most iconic and successful football players in history. He played for Bayern Munich from 1964 to 1977 and won five Bundesliga titles, two German Cups, two European Cup Winners' Cups, a Intercontinental Cup and the FIFA World Cup with Germany in 1974.

Hasan Salihamidžić is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian football player who has played for Bayern Munich and other clubs. He was born in Jablanica, Bosnia and Herzegovina but raised in Switzerland.

Stefan Effenberg was born on August 2nd, 1968 in Hamburg, West Germany. He started his footballing career playing for Bramfelder SV in 1974. In 1986, he moved to Victoria Hamburg before joining Borussia Mönchengladbach in 1987.

He enjoyed a very successful career at Borussia Mönchengladbach, playing 65 games and scoring 19 goals over the course of three seasons. 

He then moved to Bayern Munich in 1992 and enjoyed another successful spell, playing 95 games and scoring 16 goals.

He left Bayern Munich in 1998 and signed for Borussia Mönchengladbach once again. He retired from football in 2002 after playing 118 games and scoring 23 goals for Borussia Mönchengladbach. 

Stefan Effenberg is currently a football coach and manager. He was appointed manager of the German national team in November 2018.

Müller was a prolific striker in the 1960s and 1970s, scoring over 200 goals in total for clubs including Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen. He died in 2021 at the age of 75 after a long illness.

Müller started his career with local side 1861 Nördlingen, before moving to Bayern Munich in 1963. He was part of the Bavarian side that won the European Cup in 1974 and the Intercontinental Cup in 1975.

Müller played his final season for Werder Bremen in 2000-01, scoring 34 goals in 46 appearances. 

He is the all-time leading scorer in the Bundesliga, with 318 goals in 404 appearances. Müller was a Germany international for over 20 years, making his debut in 1968 and becoming captain in 1984.

He was a part of the side that finished runners-up at the World Cup in 1990 and fourth in 2006. Müller was inducted into the German Football Hall of Fame in 2003. 

Müller is the father of former Bayern Munich and Germany midfielder Bastian Müller. Müller is the fourth-most capped player in the history of the Germany national team, with 85 appearances.

Müller is the only player to score in both the European Cup and the Intercontinental Cup. Müller is the sixth Bundesliga player to score over 100 goals.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is a retired German professional footballer who played as a forward. Rummenigge began his career at SV Lippstadt 08, before joining Bayern Munich in 1974.

He spent nine seasons with the club, winning two Bundesliga titles and the German Cup. Rummenigge then spent two seasons with Inter Milan, before returning to Bayern Munich in 1987.

He spent two more seasons with the club, before retiring in 1989. Rummenigge later became the president of Bayern Munich. He has also been a manager, taking charge of Bayern Munich II in 2010 and Bayer Leverkusen in 2012.

Rummenigge was born in Lippstadt, West Germany, in 1955. He died on 5 February 2017, aged 67. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was born on July 25th, 1954 in the town of Frankfurt am Main, West Germany. 

He started his professional career at Eintracht Frankfurt in 1975 and made his debut for the national team the following year.

He went on to play 95 international matches for West Germany, scoring 45 goals. 

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was a mainstay of the West German national team during the late 1970s and early 1980s, helping the team to win the FIFA World Cup in 1982 and the UEFA European Championship in 1980. 

After retiring from international football, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge went on to have a successful career in club football, playing for Bayern Munich, Juventus, and Rummenigge's former club Eintracht Frankfurt.

He later became the president of the German Football Association (DFB) between 2006 and 2007. Sepp Maier was honoured with the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2006.

He was also awarded the FIFA World Cup Legend Award in 2007 and the Bavarian Football Association Gold Medal in 2009. Sepp Maier passed away on 22 October 2018 at the age of 78.

Norbert Eder was a defender who played for 1. FC Nürnberg for over 30 years. Eder was born in Bibergau, West Germany in 1955. He made his debut for 1. FC Nürnberg in 1974 and went on to play 301 games for the club.

Eder was a two-time West German Cup winner with 1. FC Nürnberg, and also won the Bundesliga twice. Eder retired from playing in 2004, but continued to work as a coach with 1. FC Nürnberg's youth teams. He died aged 63 in November 2019.

Norbert Eder was arespected figure in the football world and was highly respected by his colleagues. Norbert Eder was a promising midfielder who played for Bayern Munich and FC Zürich in the early 1980s. 

After leaving Bayern Munich, Eder played for FC Garmisch-Partenirchen and TSV 1860 Rosenheim before returning to his homeland of West Germany with DJK Rosenheim in 1996.

Bixente Lizarazu is a French left back who played for Bordeaux, Bayern Munich and Marseille. Lizarazu was born on 9 December 1969 in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, France.

Lizarazu started his career with Les Églantins Hendaye in 1977. He joined Bordeaux in 1984 and stayed with the club until 1996. Lizarazu joined Athletic Bilbao in 1997 and stayed with the club until 2004.

He joined Marseille in 2004 and stayed with the club until 2011. Lizarazu represented France at international level and was a part of the team that won the 1998 World Cup. He retired from professional football in 2011.

Lizarazu is currently a football pundit for French TV channel M6. Bixente Lizarazu is a Spanish defender who has played for both Bayern Munich and France over a 15-year international career. 

Bixente Lizarazu started his career with Spanish side Valencia before moving to Bayern Munich in 2005.

He has won several trophies with Bayern Munich, including the Bundesliga title in 2009 and the DFB-Pokal in 2012.

Badstuber was born in Memmingen, West Germany in 1989. He started his career at TSV Rot an der Rot 1890, before moving to VfB Stuttgart in 2000. Badstuber spent ten years at Bayern Munich, winning the Bundesliga title in 2013 and 2014.

In 2017, he joined Schalke 04 on a season-long loan. Badstuber has represented Germany at under-21, under-23, and senior levels. He is a versatile defender, capable of playing at centre-back or as a full-back. Badstuber is a hard-working and vocal player.

He is widely considered to be one of the best centre-backs in the world. Badstuber is a regular member of the German national team.

Roy Makaay is a Dutch football striker who played for Bayern Munich, Feyenoord and Deportivo La Coruña. Makaay started his career at SC Woezik, before moving to DIOSA and then to Blauw Wit Nijmegen.
