The English Football League One, also known as EFL League One, is the third tier of professional football in England. This league consists of 24 teams who compete for the title of EFL League One champions and for promotion to the Championship.

Each team plays the other 23 teams in their division twice, once at home and once away. EFL League One is a highly competitive and entertaining league, with teams of all sizes and different levels of financial backing competing for the title.

It is a great platform for young players to showcase their talents and make a name for themselves in the football world.

Ivan Toney is an English striker who currently plays for Brentford in the Championship. 

Ivan was born on 16 March 1996 in Northampton, England. At 5ft 10in tall, he is tall and imposing forward with great scoring potential.

Ivan started his youth career at Leicester City before joining Brentford in 2016 as an 18-year-old graduate from their academy system. 

He made his professional debut during the 2017–18 season and has since established himself as one of the key players for Brentford, having scored 20 goals in 77 appearances so far.

Ivan has represented England at various age levels up to an under-21 level where he won three caps.

In 2018, he signed for Wigan Athletic on a season-long deal and helped them reach League One play-offs where they were beaten by Bristol City in the semi final stage; this was his first taste of senior football outside of Northampton Town's league system. 

He rejoined Peterborough United as their new permanent manager announced their Championship campaign ahead of the 2020/2021 season - with 94 apps (55 goals) under his belt already.

Aiden McGeady is a Scottish footballer who currently plays for Hibernian. He began his career at Busby Boys Club before joining Celtic in 2000. 

He then moved to Premier League side Everton, where he made over 100 appearances between 2004 and 2007, before moving to Hibs in 2008.

He has since won two Scottish Premiership titles with Hibs and represented the Republic of Ireland internationally on many occasions, including at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil. 

McGeady has also been capped by Scotland at U21 level and played for them at UEFA Euro 2012 qualifying campaign which ended in disappointment due to group stage exit from competition.

Aiden McGeady is a talented footballer, who has played for some of the biggest clubs in Europe. He began his career at Celtic and spent several years there before moving on to bigger clubs, including Spartak Moscow and Everton. 

In 2017 he joined Sunderland on loan, and helped them stay in the Premier League that season. McGeady has also represented Ireland at international level since 2004 and was part of their World Cup-winning squad in 2010.

Dynel Simeu is a young defender who currently plays for Morecambe on loan from Southampton. Dynel was born in Cameroon and came to England at the age of six.

He started his career at Plymouth Argyle before joining Southampton in 2016. Dynel has made one appearance for the English national team, coming on as a substitute against Scotland in November 2018.

Flint was born in England and played football for Bristol City before joining Stoke City. Flint has represented England at youth level and made his senior debut for the country in 2008.

Rickie Lambert is a former English footballer who played as a striker for Liverpool between 1992-1997 and then again from 2007-2013. He was born in Kirkby, Merseyside on 16 February 1982 to parents Ronnie and Joan Lambert.

Rickie started his career at Liverpool where he made 206 appearances scoring 86 goals during 7 years with the club winning 3 Premier League titles, 1 FA Cup and 2 League Cups along the way before moving to Southampton in January 2007 for £4 million (£5million including add-ons).

After struggling to find form at The Saints, Lambert moved back to Anfield on a free transfer in July 2013 after being released by West Bromwich Albion six months earlier. 

Rickie retired from professional football following the conclusion of his contract with Liverpool at the end of the 2014/15 season having scored 44 goals in 104 league appearances (104 starts).

In 2003, Lambert was voted PFA Young Player of Year after netting 25 goals for Leeds United during their promotion campaign which saw them reach Division One for the first time since 1972. 

Since retiring from playing professionally, Rickie has continued his association with Liverpool as assistant coach under Jurgen Klopp helping guide them to victory in both Europa League Final against Sevilla as well as Champions League Final against Real Madrid last year.

Marquis is a 30-year-old English centre forward who currently plays for Bristol Rovers. Marquis started his career at Millwall and enjoyed some successful seasons there, including helping the Lions to promotion from League One in 2013.

Max Stryjek is a Polish goalkeeper who currently plays for Wycombe Wanderers. He began his career with Agrykola Warsaw before moving to Polonia Warsaw in 2007.

He signed for Sunderland in 2014, but made just one appearance for the club before leaving at the end of the season. He made his debut for Wycombe Wanderers in the FA Cup in 2017.
