Final Words

. . The Denver Nuggets are an American professional basketball team that have been a part of the National Basketball Association (NBA) since 1976. The Nuggets were founded in 1967 as the Denver Rockets, but relocated to Colorado in 1974.

They played their first season in Denver and then moved to Memphis for two seasons before returning to Denver for good in 1979. Since moving back to Denver, they have advanced past the First Round of the NBA playoffs only once, losing to eventual champions San Antonio Spurs 4-1 in 2005.

However, they did reach the Conference Finals twice during this time period:once under Rick Majerus from 1993-1994 and again under George Karl from 2003-2004. Outside of these playoff appearances, however, their best players have typically failed to live up to expectations or achieve much success elsewhere after leavingDenver
