Mauricio Pineda is known as a rock solid defender who rarely makes mistakes on the pitch, even under pressure situations.

Despite being predominantly a central defender, Maurizio can also be deployed as a defensive midfielder when needed which adds an extra layer of versatility to his gameplanning ability onmatchday.

Maurizo's strengths lie mainly in his positional discipline and reading of play which allows him to make timely interceptions or tackles leading to clearances or goal chances saved.

Pineada regularly captains team USA U20s and played every minute of all their matches at various stages including run home tournament where they reached semi-finals against England.
