Diego Armando Maradona is a retired Argentine professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder and second striker. 

He was part of the Argentina national team that won the 1986 FIFA World Cup, where he became known for his outrageous goals and on-field antics.

After retiring from playing football, Maradona had several business ventures, including owning a chain of pizza restaurants in Argentina and Italy. 

In January 2019, it was announced that Maradona had been diagnosed with cancer and would be receiving treatment abroad.

Maradona died on 25 November 2020 at the age of 60 after succumbing to his disease. A controversial figure both on and off the pitch throughout his career, Diego Armando Maradona will always be remembered for being one of the greatest players in history.

 Diego Maradona is one of the most iconic footballers of all time and was a key figure in Argentina's World Cup-winning team in 1986.

Di Stefano was an Argentine forward and attacking midfielder who played for River Plate, Real Madrid, Huracán, and Millonarios in his career. Di Stéfano won three consecutive European Cups with Real Madrid from 1955 to 1957 and also won the Intercontinental Cup in 1960.

He is regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time and is often cited alongside Pele, Diego Maradona, and Lionel Messi as one of the best players ever to play the game. 

Di Stefano had lengthy injury-plagued final years of his playing career which led him to retire at age 43 in 1953.

After retirement, he became a coach with Real Madrid winning two more La Liga titles before retiring from coaching in 1998 after leading them to their tenth Champions League title victory that season aged 70 years old.

Making him both club's most successful manager and oldest winner of a major trophy/title (the UEFA European Championship).

He died on 7 July 2014 at the age of 88 after suffering heart failure following surgery complications arising from a stroke he suffered earlier that year; this made him Argentina's oldest living World Cup player when he passed away.

Di Stéfano was one of the greatest footballers of all time and is widely regarded as one of the best goalscorers in history.

He won numerous honors during his playing career, including five La Liga titles with Barcelona and Real Madrid, three European Cup crowns with Real Madrid, two Intercontinental Cups with club sides River Plate and Valencia, as well as a Copa América title with Argentina. 

Di Stéfano also had a lengthy managerial career which included spells at Elche, Boca Juniors and Valencia.

He led Sporting CP to their first-ever UEFA Champions League win in 1986 but resigned after just six months due to health concerns. In 2002 he was named Spanish Footballer of the Century by FIFA and received an honorary knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II in 2003. 

Di Stéfano died at the age of 82 on 5 January 2014 following a long battle against prostate cancer.

Riquelme is a former Argentine footballer who most notably played for Barcelona and Boca Juniors. Riquelme started his career at Argentinos Juniors before moving to Boca Juniors in 1996.

He was part of the Argentina squad that won the silver medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics, as well as helping Barcelona win La Liga and Copa del Rey titles during his time with them. 

In 2002, he moved to Barcelona where he spent three seasons before returning to Boca Juniors in 2005.

After retiring from football, Riquelme took up a role as vice-president of Boca Juniors in 2015. Juan Román Riquelme was born on 24 June 1978 in San Fernando, Argentina. He began playing football at an early age for local club San Fernando.

He then transferred to Argentinos juniors making his professional debut aged 17 years and 349 days against Racing Club de Avellaneda on 15 October 1995, becoming one of only two players ever to make their senior debut for both clubs (the other being Carlos Tevez).

On 18 January 1998, while still registered with Argentinos juniatrics, he made his international début for Argentina coming off the bench against Paraguay.

It would be his last game for "La Albicela" until 2001 when he re-joined them after spending six months out with injury due to an operation on a hernia suffered earlier that year whilst training with Manchester United. 

In total, between 1994 and 2006 (excluding injuries), Riquelme featured in 151 matches scoring 38 goals.

Kempes started his career at Club Atlético y Biblioteca Bell in Argentina. He moved to Rosario Central in 1973 and then to Valencia in 1981. Kempes was a prolific goalscorer during his career, scoring 142 goals in 142 appearances for Valencia.

Kempes was beloved by the Valencia fans for his attacking play. Kempes later had a short spell with River Plate in 1982 before retiring from playing. Kempes is now a football analyst for TVEs. Kempes was honoured with a statue in his home town of Bell Ville in Argentina in 2012.

Kempes was also awarded an honorary degree from the University of Valencia in 2016. Kempes has two sons and two daughters and resides in Madrid, Spain. 

Kempes was a very talented striker who played for a number of clubs in Argentina and Europe. Kempes was one of the most prolific goal scorers in Argentine football history.

Kempes spent time with a number of clubs in Europe, including Valencia, Barcelona and Atlético Madrid. Kempes is perhaps best known for his time at Atlético Madrid, where he helped the club to win the Spanish Cup and the UEFA Cup. 

Kempes retired from football in 2002. Kempes is currently the technical director of Argentinos Juniors.

Kempes is a member of the Argentine Football Hall of Fame. Kempes was named the Atlético Madrid Player of the Year in 1990. Kempes was named the best Argentine footballer of the 20th century by the Argentine Football Association.
