With the Chargers, Dante Hughes made 104 tackles over three seasons before signing with New York Giants as a free agent in 2012 where he spent one year before retiring that same year due to injury.

Dante Hughes was one of the most highly-touted players in college football when he signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2006.

He quickly became a starter and helped lead his team to a Super Bowl appearance that year. After being traded to the San Francisco 49ers in 2008, Dante led the NFC West with 11 interceptions and earned first-team All-Pro honors.

The next year, he joined the Arizona Cardinals and had another excellent season before announcing his retirement after 10 years in the NFL. Hughes is now a commentator for Fox Sports 1 and has also started up his own training camp preparation business called "Dante's Way."

A two-time Walter Payton Man of The Year Award finalist, Hughes is considered one of the best safeties ever to play professional football.
